Give and receive things, for free, close to home.

Donut is the app for giving things away between neighbours. In a few taps, offer what you no longer need and build projects to share with a group, with friends or across your area.

Free. On iPhone and Android.

Find

Your neighbourhood attic.

The attic gathers plenty of gifts near you: brand-new things for those who want them and, for keen DIYers, items to repair or upcycle.

Search for “fridge” and Donut also finds “refrigerator”. Pick your areas on the map, save a search: Donut lets you know as soon as a new gift matches.

Give

One photo, and it’s online.

Take a photo of the item: Donut recognises it and fills in the listing. All you do is confirm.

The title, category and condition are suggested, and the people who follow you are told as soon as it is published.

Your exact address stays private until you meet.

Projects

Say what you’re missing.

A first flat, a child’s bedroom, a workshop: list what you need, and Donut tells you as soon as a gift matches.

People who have the item offer it to you, and you follow your progress: “2/3 found”.

Follow other people’s projects too, and offer what you have.

Together

Everything is arranged in Donut.

Write to the giver, agree on a time, and use each project’s group chat to decide together who picks up what.

One conversation per project, with the people close to you. The meeting time is chosen from everyone’s availability.

At hand-over, a code, and it’s done.

Also

Your people, your trust, and nothing to pay.

Your people first. A “My friends” gift is shown only to them, if you wish.

Among people you can trust. Reporting, blocking, and guidelines everyone agrees to.

Free. Giving, asking, starting a project: nothing costs anything.

Stop press

Make some room. Make someone happy.
